It seems whenever I'm in between giving up/failing and finishing/succeeding I have a habit of using larger vocabulary and starting a bunch of things over or wanting to. By this I mean it's like wanting to run away in fear of realizing the dream. Technically the only thing holding me back is the credit card numbers that I don't have. If you want to suceed via internet you have to use a credit card. It's a good thing it's summer and I have nothing much to do. Life is a lot shorter than it seems. I really wanted to fill this blog post with lots of words but I don't have any.

There seems to be a pattern in my writing
Today I just fixed up The Girl in Black and set it up with Createspace. Now I have to wait two days and I realized there are STILL some mistakes in The Girl in Black. But while writing the sequal I realized there seems to be a pattern in my writing. The sweet couples in the stories always have the same first initial. For example Emo and Ember. Then there's Amira and Akemi. Those two books will definatly be my best sellers. How did this pattern start though? Either way I'm having a lot of fun writing The Boy in Black.

A few sweet memories
A memory came back to me and I wanted to share it with the world.
In 4th grade my class had a project that I swear was perfectly built for me. The project was to make a book. It was PERFECT! We got to choose a design for our blank books and then a few weeks later the teacher gave us our blank books. I was so excited to fill the book up with words and pictures it was just the greatest project in the whole world to me. After quickly finishing up my short story I started drawing and writing in it right away and then I was the first to be done. Years later I look back and laugh at it. Not because it's bad and not because it was a funny story. (Well maybe a little) I laugh at it because it's so funny how much I've changed. (And how terrible an artist I was at that time) The thing I remember most was thinking that it was the greatest thing ever. When you're little the thought that things are possible and what you have happens to be the greatest thing ever is really easy. But when you get older you can see that the biggest competition is not only the rest of the people in the world but yourself.
Anyway years later another project that was totally built for me was in 8th grade english class. We were reading the alchemist and we had to take one scene from the first part of the book and turn it into a comic page. When our teacher told us this I could NOT stop thinking "THIS PROJECT IS TOTALLY PERFECT FOR ME!" I gave it everything I had even though our teacher said "I'm not grading you on artistic ability". As the class "artist" everyone said YOU'RE SO GOOD! NO FAIR WHY DO YOU DRAW SO GOOD?! I hate you Jane you draw TOO good! Wow and stuff like that. I felt so happy.
Later I don't know what my relationship is with this person but she asked me "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I said "an author" without even thinking. Every day it becomes clear that I long to sing but my destiny is writing and drawing. (And writing songs about my characters)

Continuing my rant
A few moments ago I was ranting on my other blog and I decided rants belong here.
Making books for kids is so challenging! But there are lots of lovable kids in my family and it would be really sad to say "Sorry you're not old enough to read your aunt's first ever manga.". But I know I can do it! In my could-be-finished-but-isn't-really novel Fairytales and Actors there is a scene where Rian and his friend Luis go on a double date. I had this perfect adult scenario (These ideas come from watching too many weird movies) in my head and then I thought about the message the book was supposed to deliver. It was something about giving people something to beleive in or something but I knew I wanted to write a great fairytale/novel (fairnovel?) that would inspire the world including kids. So I had to water down the scene to make it appropriate which wasn't really that easy because Rian acted more like a 19 year old than a 26 year old. (Which is probably why I constantly write "Mom I'm a 26 year old man!" every few pages)
Here's the summary of Fairytales and Actors:
After writing a few pages of the story I came up with the title. It represents that Rian is on a journey to live/write a fairy tale and all the people around him are actors. His life is almost a fairy tale like movie. Now here's what happens:
Rian Jarred (Maybe I'll change his last name) is a 26 year old chef who's parents pretty much control his life. He meets the princess of his dreams but it turns out she's dating another woman. Rian feels he can never have her but he tries. Eventually his parents think he's gay and continue to not understand him.
I would say more but then I would end up spoiling the whole thing and telling you who the black pegasus is and who breaks who's heart.
Either way I really do hope to capture people's hearts with this book. Maybe that's my goal in life to be remembered for writing the greatest stories that capture people's hearts and make the rest of the world think outside the box. For example in The Girl in Black series I attempted to show the world that all kinds of love is possible and if you die happy then everything will be okay. Or something like that. In Blood Hunter I don't think there's a message since I only wrote one or two paragraphs but I'm pretty sure it will end up making people believe in love and vampires. (In a more violent not twilight-ish way) The rest of my ideas didn't really have much of a meaning but maybe in the future there will be some meaning.

All those old projects
I was shucking corn and my mom said "Did you learn something today?" And in my head I said "Yes. I learned I need a job." then later I thought about my projects Fairy tales and actors, The Boy in black, The Girl in black, Emila's Odyssey, and The J. and S. adventures. There are so many projects I could be working on right now but for some reason I guess I'm so afraid of messing up those wonderful projects I don't even bother to look at them. What I need is a job.
