Cycle of life

It all started in February after yet another tragic Valentine's day. I was wondering the halls like a lone wolf pretending not to look like a loner in a bright red Lolita dress. Suddenly my breath was taken away and I couldn't move. It was my childhood friend that I hadn't talked to since the end of 5th grade and my golly did he grow up! He was so marvelous I couldn't speak. I was afraid that he'd forgotten me especially since I'd changed from a dorky . . . . . whatever I was . . . . to a person with . . . personality! Then again my face stayed exactly the same. So I walked past him and tried to think of things to say. By the end of the day I wrote what I wanted to say on paper and gave it to him in the pouring rain without looking him in the eye or saying it was from me. The month ended and if I could go back in time I would DEFINITELY  re live that moment and say "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" instead of walking away.
The next few days went by and I realized all those feelings I had towards him from back in the 4th grade had returned. And they'd gotten worse.
It would've made sense if I changed and learned from past mistakes but apparently that wasn't the case. Eventually I came to the realization that life is a cycle and events from the past can reincarnate into a different form. Sadly that's what happened.
