The Day of Silence was today. I stayed silent for the whole day! Except when the lunch lady asked for my order. That doesn't really count. Anyway in the beginning I was very ticked off in Science class. People don't understand the REAL meaning of it. Some people thought that everyone doing it was Gay. Other people just put duct tape over their mouths because they wanted to. Truthfully I am just . . . hmm what's a really sophisticate word? . . . Disgusted by this.
The Silence represents LGBTQ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer) being afraid to speak out and live honestly in fear of discrimination, harassment, and bullying. But not everyone being silent is specifically LGBTQ. Some people could have parents or friends that are LGBTQ and are supporting them by being silent. For a very stupid reason some people can NOT understand that.
Anyway the biggest point is "What can you do to stop the silence?". To make things simpler I put it this way:
"Stop the Silence End Discrimination"
-Just Jane
Also I would like to tell the whole world that there is nothing wrong with being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, or for boys to cry.
Females don't HAVE to be feminine society just says females are feminine and Males are masculine. Why? Why can't we just erase the line of stereo type that society has drawn?
More importantly why the entire world just accept LGBTQ for the people they are?
Our Science teacher told us about an openly Gay man who got beat up just because he was Gay. How would Straight people feel if they got beat up just because they were Straight?
These are the things they should be teaching us in school. They should also be teaching us about all the famous LGBTQ people like
Angelina Jolie (Bisexual)

I do hope this blog post has opened your mind to make you think outside the box.
